  • Fruita Fat Tire Festival - April 23 - 26 2009  Fruita CO       

    14th Annual Mountain Bike festival sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Company.  Come enjoy awesome singletrack, a bike expo with big name companies, and the beer garden.  I attended the one last year and it was the best trip of the year.

  • 18 Hours of Fruita- May 1 - 2 2009  Fruita CO       

    5th anniversary of the famous midnight start and 18 hours of singletrack riding around Highline Lake State Park.  The course is 100% singletrack and loops around the lake.  Camping and partying are at the start/finish line and makes for a race you won't soon forget.  Start is Friday night at midnight through Saturday evening at 6PM, followed by a huge celebration.

  • Elephant Rock - June 7th 2009 (8M/22M/32M/50M/65M/100M)

    Join thousands of cyclists for the unofficial start to the Colorado cycling season. You won’t want to miss the excitement and camaraderie of the 22nd annual pilgrimage to Castle Rock for the Rocky Mountain region’s premier cycling festival — the 2009 Subaru Elephant Rock, a Rocky Mountain tradition. Whether you are six or sixty, prefer to ride on the road or the dirt, there is a course for cyclists of all abilities. All of the rides start and finish at The Douglas County Fair Grounds in Castle Rock. Plan to stick around after you finish for the Subaru Party at the Rock post-ride picnic and cycling expo. Whichever course you choose, you’re sure to have a E-Rockin’ good time.

  • 24 Hours of E-Rock - June 5 - 6 2009 Castlerock CO.

    E-Rock starts Friday evening at 6:30 PM and races for 24 hours.  The course is an 8.25 mile loop through the beautiful Greenland Open Space with stunning views of Pikes Peak and the Rampart Range. The starting elevation is 6908 feet with a high point of 7450 feet.  Camping is available next to the course with all site within 150 yards of the start / finish / party area.

  • Moonlight Classic - July 18th 2009 Downtown Denver             

    There’s something wild about cruising on your bike in the middle of the night. Imagine the exhilaration of pedaling through the deserted streets of Denver with the strange light of the moon defining the course for you and thousands of other cyclists. Join us Saturday night, July 18th for this lunar lunacy!

    **NEW FOR 2009** CLOSED COURSE!
    The entire course will be closed to all automobile traffic.  The re-designed 10-mile course will be filled with cyclists only!  It will tour landmarks, new and old. Including, the Denver business district, Lower Downtown and the Cherry Creek shopping district.  Participants are welcomed to do as many laps as time permits. 

  • Copper Triangle - August 1st 2009  Cooper Mountain CO

    The famous Copper Triangle has long been considered one of Colorado’s classic alpine road rides.  Graced with breathtaking scenery, gorgeous roads and three challenging climbs, the Copper Triangle exemplifies cycling in the Colorado Rockies.  The 4th annual Colorado Cyclist Copper Triangle Alpine Classic will take place on Saturday August 1st, 2009 as an impeccably supported ride.  It offers both recreational and competitive supported organized ride.

    Cyclist will start and finish at Burning Stones Plaza in central Copper Mountain Resort, Colorado.  Amply stocked aid/rest stations will be positioned throughout the course.  Upon returning from your ride, participants will be greeted by the “Alpine Celebration”. The post-ride party, with music, a first – class barbecue lunch, prize drawings and cycling expo will continue throughout the afternoon.
